Some Apple Cider Vinegar Each Day … Keeps The Doctor Away

If there was one product I would always recommend you keep, it’s apple cider vinegar (ACV) no doubt.  It is probably the most useful liquid I know of after water and lemon juice. But, before you run down the street to get some, make sure its unpasteurized ACV with the ‘mother’.

The word ‘mother’ refers to strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that can often give the vinegar a muddy-like appearance especially at the base of the bottle.

The mother segment is the culture that is usually used to begin the next batch of vinegar. A lot of vinegar manufacturers filter or pasteurize this out so that their products look nicer on the shelf. Do yourself a favour and leave those brands on the shelf.

The mother component is not the only thing that separates ACV from the rest.  ACV is a rich source of acetic acid, which can help lower glucose spikes after meals, and potassium, which is great for strengthening teeth, hair loss and runny noses.  ACV  also has a good dose of pectin which is good for regulating blood pressure and reducing blood cholesterol. Malic acid is also present which gives ACV its anti-viral, anti-parasitic and anti-fungal properties.

So how can we use ACV on a daily basis to change our lives?

Apple Cider Vinegar Uses

  1. Improve Digestion

Simply dilute a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in half a glass of water and drink 30 minutes before each meal. It stimulates the digestive juices namely hydrochloric acid in your stomach. For added benefit, add a pinch of fine pink Himalayan salt to the mix.

  1. Ease Heartburn

Simply dilute a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in half a glass of water and sip anytime you feel heartburn erupting.

  1. Tighten Skin Pores

ACV is amazing for neutralizing pH as well as tightening pores. Place some ACV on a cotton wipe/bud and dab over skin after cleansing.

  1. Get Rid Of Skin Tags, Moles & Warts

Soak some cotton buds in ACV and place the bud on the affected skin lesion. Put a band-aid on top and leave overnight.  Remove the bud in the morning and wash the skin. Repeat every night until the lesions have cleared.

  1. Clear Sinusitis

Mix some ACV with water and drink it. It is antimicrobial and it will also help break up the mucus as a bonus.

  1. Eliminate Fungal Infections

Soak the affected area in with 1 part ACV and 5 parts water for 30 minutes a day.

  1. Improve Your Daily Detox

Start your day with 1 tablespoon ACV mixed with a little water to increase lymphatic circulation and liver detoxification (aiding cholesterol reduction also).

  1. Help In Losing Weight

Consuming ACV daily can reduce body weight, abdominal fat, waist circumference, and triglycerides. Simply add your desired amount of ACV to your drinking water and enjoy throughout the day.

I like my ACV ‘cordial’ on the strong side so I tend to add ~4 tablespoons of ACV to 1L of water, but just find what amount you prefer or tolerate to start with. You can add a teaspoon of honey also if desired.

So take the challenge – add some apple cider vinegar to your routine daily. You will see and feel the difference!
